Studied the history of maps and cartography and their uses in art. Used mixed media to create five of our own maps as they relate to our personal lives.

Raevn's Nest Art Retreat, Cedarburg, WI, October 2009: "Make a Scene" with Jill Berry.
Created 3-D scenes using miniature images and mixed-media materials.

Fond du Lac Artists Association, Fond du Lac, WI, April 2010: "Fused Glass Frames" with Trista Holz.
Learned how to used colored glass to make a picture frame. Also used frit and learned how to use the glass sander.

Windhover Center for the Arts, Fond du Lac, June 2011: "The Art of Collage: an Exploration of Materials and Techniques" with Randel Plowman.
Brushed up on techniques and learned some new ways to create collages.
